My dish soap (called “washing up liquid” here, because “dish soap” just seems too pedestrian?) is upfront about its abilities; it can clean but has “no added promises”. Possibly the most English product description ever. So your dishes may not sparkle or twinkle or smell like fresh daisies, but damn it, they will be clean.
